Position: Software Systems Engineer (Medical Devices)
The Medical Device Software System Engineer will play a primary role in planning, designing, developing, and verifying features for a variety of desktop, mobile, and embedded medical device applications.
B. Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
• General: Tasking will vary by application, but will typically require participating in and / or providing technical leadership for a team performing some combination of the following:
• Participate in all preplanning activities;
• Interprets designs;
• Assists with feasibility reviews and value resource functions;
• Researches and recommends resolutions to design problems, conflicts and errors;
• Develop and decompose system requirements;
• Participate in FMEA and other risk mitigation processes;
• Solve system design problems;
• Develop system test plans and manual or automated system test procedures;
• Develop code and manual or automated UIT procedures;
• Trace requirements to design, test procedures, and code;
• Execute test procedures;
• Collect objective evidence;
• Report issues;
• Create test reports;
• Verify system changes.
• Maintaining a primary technical interface with existing and potential customers;
• Documenting the customers' technical needs;
• Developing detailed technical solutions, estimates, and other project plans.

Requirements:
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field required. Minimum of 20 years of software engineering, 10 – 15 years in a systems and / or technical leadership role for Class II or Class III medical device software, are required.
